The Regional Director of Business Development will lead the growth strategy for the UHS Arkansas market and region with responsibility for execution related to improvement in payer mix, increase in market share, and expansion of the care continuum. This is a new and exciting role for a results oriented and innovative leader within the behavioral health market.

Essential Job Duties
:
  • Identify new products and service lines and payer opportunities.
  • Lead the strategy to optimize payer mix in the Arkansas market through the development of new products and services, the deployment of business development resources via payer mapping, and development of payer relationships in the local market.
  • Coordinate with corporate support departments to obtain and analyze both internal and external data to inform decisions about strategic growth strategies.
  • Co-supervise the facility-based DBDs in the assigned region and work collaboratively with the facility CEO on recruitment, on-boarding, training and retention activities for all members of the business development team.
  • Review and approve facility-based business development plans to include strategic plans, annual plans and project specific plans, ensuring they are actionable and measurable.
  • Collaborate with facility and corporate partners on facility specific and market wide strategies.
  • Proactively review and act upon budget variances in the region to include remediation discussions with the facility DBD and communicate activities to the operations VP and direct supervisor.
  • Conduct pre-scheduled, agenda driven facility site visits to ensure the business development department is operating as expected; fully staffed, staff trained, productivity measured, field rides with
  • Director and representatives, strategic plans executed and results measured.
  • Active involvement in the development of channel marketing strategies for division-wide implementation.
  • Provide excellent communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Ensures compliance with the UHS Media Policy. Supports the facility with media relations issues via notification of Division Media Team.
  • Collaborates with The Agency to develop marketing initiatives for advertising, social and digital campaigns for the assigned facilities, markets and region.
  • Monitor market share on an annual basis to determine if market strategies are generating favorable results for the region.
  • Maintain an up-to-date service inventory for each assigned market for continual evaluation of growth opportunities.
  • Work with Mental Health Outcomes to ensure the competitive database for assigned markets is up to date and current (for all levels of care).
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required; including providing on-site leadership in business development during vacancies.

Qualifications:

Total education, vocational training and experience
: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required. Master's degree in Marketing, Business Aministration or related field preferred.Business development, marketing, sales or equivalent experience required.

Skills and Abilities
:
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in PC software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
  • Bi-weekly travel.
